What are filler timbers used for?With surface mounted catches or hinges on hollow aluminum profiles, the aluminum wall quickly dents slightly when the fixing screws are tightened. Filler timbers are pushed into the cavity of the aluminum profile in the area of the fasteners/hinges during assembly of the side board profiles and prevent the profile wall from deforming.
