The LUIS TURN DETECT® complies with the requirements of the BMVI recommendation for turn assistants: - Detection area of at least 2.5 m x 6 m- Can be activated via direction indicator (turn signal) and speed (GPS). Speed range adjustable.- Differentiation between moving objects such as cyclists and static objects (parked cars, etc.)- Two-stage warning: purely optical for cyclists in the danger zone and additional acoustic warning by activating the turn signal - Driver information in the event of a malfunction (e.g. defective camera) A general operating permit (ABE) has been issued by the Federal Motor Transport Authority (KBA), regardless of the vehicle type. However, a mounting area for the camera sensors must be observed: - Minimum installation height of 1.80 m (maximum 4 meters)- Distance to the front of the vehicle min. 1 m/max. 6 m External alarms (e.g. an LED warning light, side marker lights) can be activated via an additional control output (I/O). The system includes a wide-angle camera, the control box, a GPS module, a buzzer as well as the LUIS 7" Monitor Professional and the necessary cables. The calibration box (article no. 245559220) is required for professional calibration and is available separately as a accessories. It goes without saying that all components of the LUIS TURN DETECT® turn-off assistant undergo the comprehensive and strict quality assurance process with 100% routine testing in all key production steps. The LUIS "TURN DETECT®" turn-off assistant is purely an information and warning system that merely supports the driver of a vehicle. At no time and in no way does the system take over or replace the duties and functions of a vehicle driver. The driver remains fully responsible for driving the vehicle, fulfilling their road safety obligations and complying with the law on road safety.
